Altijd al willen weten hoe het internationaal publiekrecht in de praktijk werkt? Een stage is de aangewezen methode om de verbinding te leggen tussen theorie en praktijk en biedt goede mogelijkheden de overgang naar de arbeidsmarkt te vereenvoudigen.

Altijd al willen weten hoe het internationaal publiekrecht in de praktijk werkt? Een stage is de aangewezen methode om de verbinding te leggen tussen theorie en praktijk en biedt goede mogelijkheden de overgang naar de arbeidsmarkt te vereenvoudigen. Studenten Internationaal en Europees recht met een specifieke belangstelling voor mensenrechten kunnen onder meer stage lopen bij Human Rights Watch en Amnesty International. Het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken heeft ook regelmatig interessante stages.

Voor specifiek Europeesrechtelijke stages wordt u verwezen naar de pagina van het Europa Instituut. Ook het Instituut voor Immigratierecht biedt de mogelijkheid stage te lopen.

Stageplaats bij Nederlandse Rode Kruis (30-11-2011)

Binnen de afdeling Humanitair Oorlogsrecht (HOR) van het Nederlandse Rode Kruis is een stageplaats beschikbaar in de periode van 1 januari t/m 30 juni 2012. Deze stageplaats geeft aan studenten die in de eindfase van hun studie zijn, de kans om waardevolle werkervaring op te doen op het gebied van het humanitair oorlogsrecht bij de grootste vrijwilligersorganisatie van Nederland.
Achtergrond De verspreiding van het humanitair oorlogsrecht in Nederland is een van de kerntaken van het Nederlandse Rode Kruis. De afdeling HOR bestaat uit drie medewerkers die uiteenlopende taken op het gebied van het humanitair oorlogsrecht vervullen, zoals het geven van lessen aan verschillende doelgroepen (krijgsmacht, universiteiten etc.) en het bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van dit rechtsgebied. Daarnaast houdt de afdeling zich bezig met het geven van voorlichting over de grondbeginselen van het Rode Kruis.

World Legal Forum Project Assistant

In 2010 the World Legal Forum foundation ("WLF"), supported by the Government of the Netherlands and the municipality of The Hague, started a research programme called „Hague Utilities for Global Organisations‟ ("HUGO"). The HUGO programme aims to create and establish new institutions for international dispute resolution with, inter alia , private stakeholders. The areas of focus are (i) dispute resolution in the financial markets, and (ii) dispute resolution and corporate social responsibility ("CSR"), focusing on business and human rights.

We offer:

  • A 6-month internship in a challenging environment (October 2011 – March 2012 );
  • The intern grant is a fixed amount of € 350,- per month (based on 40 hours working week);

Internship: starting 13 June 2011
The International Criminal Law Network (ICLN) aims to facilitate social and professional contact between legal professionals, academic experts and policymakers in international criminal law. In order to reach this goal, ICLN annually organises informal meetings, an annual conference and the ICC trial Competition. Additionally, ICLN organises various lectures, tours of The Hague’s law related organisations and international criminal law related courses. As a young, dynamic organisation, ICLN is always looking to expand its activities and for new opportunities to create more interaction in the field of international criminal law.

Intern-ship World Legal Forum The Haque

Project Assistant Internship (January-June 2011)
WLF aims to facilitate a forum for academics, policymakers and professionals from the field of international law and international relations to discuss the effectiveness of international law. In December 2009 a conference on “Private International Regulation and Public Supervision” was organized at the Peace Palace. Other international related activities, besides the conference, are developed by the WLF management as well. Therefore, World Legal Forum seeks a project assistant to assist in further development of the forum, and the activities in the related fields. For further information click here.

Internship Court Administration at CILC

Information about the internship ‘Court administration’ at CILC For the past ten years, CILC has assisted various transitional and developing countries in designing, implementing and strengthening the Rule of Law. Strengthening the independency and efficiency of judiciary by extending the hand in court administration has played a key ‐ role in this process. CILC has assisted the following countries in this process: Ukraine, Czech Republic, Serbia, Turkey, Russia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Moldova and Yemen. In these projects, four main areas were focused upon:

Internship Training of Legal professionals at CILC.
For the past ten years, CILC has assisted various Eastern European and African countries in their transition from authoritarian regimes to democratic structures, institutions and legislation. Supporting judicial academies in modernizing their education and training of legal professionals has played a key ‐ role in this process. CILC has assisted the following countries in this process: Lithuania, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Serbia, Estonia, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Montenegro, Turkey, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Uganda. In these projects, two main areas were focused upon:
Judiciary : education and training of the bench, public prosecutors, and support staff;
Management : training of management and instructors.

Het Internationale Strafhof en andere instellingen in Den Haag verwelkomen zeer gemotiveerde kandidaten met uitstekende academische kwalificaties voor een stage.

Zomerstage bij het Internationaal Gerechtshof

Het Internationale Gerechtshof biedt een jaarlijks programma van twee maandelijkse stages in juli en augustus. Het programma voor de zomer wordt aangekondigd op de website van het hof in april. Geïnteresseerden kunnen hun aanvraag indienen volgens de instructies op de website.
